Kirsten beat out Christina Ricci for roles in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994) and Little Women (1994), she beat out both Mena Suvari and Kate Hudson for her Spiderman role. Kirsten was offered the role of Chrissy in 'Now and Then', but she turned it down as the role required her to gain weight and she was asked to play the role of Angela in American Beauty but turned it down, the role went to Mena Suvari. She has appeared in over 70 commercials throughout her career and now demands over $5 million per film role. Miss Dunst was named one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People of 1995 and she turned down Josh Hartnett when he asked to take her to her prom, and she went with a friend instead.
